The Black Box System

The Black Box, from Universal Control Equipment, brings live production information to your desk. If you are looking for improvements in quality, productivity and efficiency, the Black Box data capture system is the product for you. It can be integrated with all types of process equipment no matter what its age to allow information to be obtained on machine throughput, machine efficiency, fault reasons and many other key parameters. Once measured, the data provides the basis for process improvement.

Unlike other systems, The Black Box is simple to configure and can capture as many or as few pieces of data as are required. The addition of one sensor to a machine together with a black box can yield significant information about the process. It does not require a computer programmer to write software to analyse the data. Instead the data is transferred directly into standard DDE/OLE compliant packages such as Microsoft Excel or Access. The data can then be easily converted into useful management information. This can then be made accessible on the internal company network.
